FEATURED ON JUNEBUG WEDDINGS!
A couple that we had the priviledge of providing DJ/MC services for had their boho, vintage-themed wedding featured on Junebug Weddings today. It is always exciting to work with a great team of vendors who all step up to the task of ensuring a couple’s day is executed perfectly. Lauren and Fernando’s celebration was nothing short of amazing as showcased in the photos and details on Junebug’s blog.
Lauren and Fernando met one another while dancing at a club. Music is an extensive part of their lives and the songs to be played throughout their celebration were extremely important to them both. I like how Lauren states in the blog how they wanted… “the music flow from being romantic to lit.”
Their wedding soundtrack began with inspiring indie-pop for the ceremony and cocktail hour. During dinner we played an eclectic mix of alternative folk and sadcore artists into an atmospheric, R&B-tinged, indie electronic mood. After dinner, we began the spotlight dances with the father-daughter dance (an original song composed by her father who is a New Age artist), followed by the mother-son dance. Lauren and Fernando chose a cover of “Higher Love” by James Vincent McMorrow for their 1st Dance together (this was a special edit made by the groom that went directly into Drake’s “One Love” which opened the dance floor to family and friends). The remainder of the evening consisted of brand new hip-hop and trap music (including: 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Clams Casino, DJ Esco, DJ Khaled, DJ Mustard, Drake, Fetty Wap, Future, Jeremih, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Kodak Black, Lil Uzi Vert, Meek Mill, Mr. AKA, Rich Homie Quan, TeeFlii, Travi$ Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, YG, Yo Gotti).
We had a wonderful time and are honored to have played a role in your special day. We wish you both many years of happiness!
